Weather Update: Possibility of light snowfall in the high alpine regions

The westerly low-pressure system’s impact is expected to cause light snowfall in the mountainous regions of Sudurpaschim, Karnali, and Gandaki provinces today, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.

As a result of the influence of this system, there is a chance of light snowfall in the high alpine regions of the Sudurpaschim, Karnali, and Gandaki provinces, while it will be partly overcast and mainly clear in the other provinces.

In the provinces of Sudurpaschim, Karnali, Lumbini, and Gandaki as well as the rest of the nation, the weather tonight will be partly overcast. In a few spots in the mountainous regions of the Sudurpaschim and Karnali provinces, it could lightly rain.

Similar to how some Tarai regions may experience severe mist and fog. The Kathmandu Valley is now experiencing a low temperature of 4.0 degrees Celsius and a high temperature of 18.5 degrees Celsius, according to the department’s most recent data.

The maximum temperature, 22.3 degrees Celsius, was recorded in Biratnagar, and Jiri had the lowest minimum temperature, minus 0.9 degrees Celsius.
